3. Please allow 2-3 weeks for us to process your request. If you do not hear back from us, feel free to inquire about the status of your request at licensing@emipakistan.com
4. Please make sure you obtain the license for the requested use prior to using it otherwise, it would be considered as a copyright infringement.

This license is required, whether stand alone or in addition to the Synchronization License, if the User requires to rework , or in any case whatsoever, modify/change/augment an existing recording, whether its Composition or its Melody, for their utilization.

This License Request Form (LRF) is a request to license the right to use the underlying musical composition (the words and music), which is commonly known as "synchronization license," and/or the right to use the master recording (the actual recording by particular artist), which is commonly known as a "master use" license. In addition you may require a Public Performance License. Public Performance Rights give the user permission to utilize any work for the benefit of an audience, whether viewing free or having paid for admission.

The scope of the media rights you will need covered in the license. Common examples would be broad theatrical rights including home video, television show, TV commercial, radio commercial, streaming use on the internet, film festivals, and in-house videos (e.g. trade show, conference, and corporate meetings).Arrangements can be made for limited media up front with additional media negotiated as options, thus saving upfront costs (e.g. initial license would only cover film festivals, with additional separate options for distribution in television and home video).

The territory within which you intend to distribute your project, and therefore, required to be covered by the license (e.g. Pakistan, Worldwide). Please note that the territory requested will have a direct impact on the license fee quoted.

EMI (Pakistan) Limited can grant only those rights to which it owns or controls. We may only have a partial copyright interest in some of the songs appearing in this database. It is your responsibility to obtain licenses from all copyright owners who own or control rights to the requested song in the territory noted above. By completing the License Request form you are beginning the process of obtaining a license for a specific use of a musical composition in connection with an audio-visual work (e.g. TV, Motion Picture, Advertisements, etc) The License Request Form is not a license, nor does the act of completing the License Request Form grant you any rights to use any musical composition that is owned and/or controlled by EMI (Pakistan) Limited or any division, affiliate, or subsidiary thereof. EMI (Pakistan) limited reserves the right to deny a requested license at its sole and absolute discretion. No use will be licensed unless, and until, EMI (Pakistan) Limited has received a fully executed license signed by you and an authorized signatory of EMI (Pakistan) Limited along with full payment of the license fee quoted.
